Former Herzogsschloss
In the immediate vicinity of the Ursuline convent, the gate tower of the former ducal palace on the Danube invites you to enter the courtyard with the princely building on the north side. The monumental architectural ensemble was built from 1356 as the Lower Bavarian residence of the Duchy of Bavaria-Straubing-Holland. The so-called Knights' Hall in the Prince's Wing was one of the largest hall constructions in Germany in the early 15th century.
